3. Educational Services

3.1 Course Enrollment and Access

  • Course enrollment is subject to availability and prerequisite requirements
  • Access to course materials begins upon payment confirmation
  • Course schedules and content may be modified to improve educational outcomes
  • Students must attend minimum required sessions as specified per course
  • Course access expires according to individual program timelines

3.2 Academic Integrity

  • Students must complete assignments independently unless collaboration is explicitly permitted
  • Plagiarism, cheating, or any form of academic dishonesty is strictly prohibited
  • Code submissions must be original work or properly attributed
  • Sharing course materials or access credentials with non-enrolled individuals is forbidden
  • Violations may result in course dismissal without refund

3.3 Certification and Completion

Course completion certificates are issued upon meeting all requirements including:

  • Attendance of required sessions (minimum 80% for most courses)
  • Completion of all mandatory assignments and projects
  • Achievement of minimum passing grades on assessments
  • Fulfillment of any course-specific requirements

4. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities

4.1 Acceptable Use

Users agree to use our services for legitimate educational purposes only. You must:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Respect the rights and dignity of other students and instructors
  • Use course materials solely for personal educational advancement
  • Maintain professional conduct in all course communications

4.2 Prohibited Activities

Users may not engage in any of the following activities:

  • Illegal Activities: Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Intellectual Property Infringement: Use copyrighted materials without permission
  • System Interference: Attempt to disrupt or compromise platform security
  • Unauthorized Access: Access accounts, systems, or data without authorization

  • Harassment: Engage in bullying, harassment, or discriminatory behavior

4.3 Consequences of Violations

Violations of these terms may result in warnings, temporary suspension, permanent account termination, course dismissal without refund, or legal action as appropriate to the severity of the violation.

5. Payment Terms and Refund Policy

5.1 Payment Terms

  • Course fees must be paid in full before course access is granted
  • Payment plans may be available for certain courses upon approval
  • All prices are listed in Euros (EUR) and include applicable taxes
  • We accept major credit cards, bank transfers, and approved payment methods
  • Failed payments may result in temporary course access suspension

5.2 Refund Policy

  • 14-Day Trial Period: Full refund available within 14 days of course start for any reason
  • Course Cancellation: Full refund if we cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment
  • Medical/Emergency: Pro-rated refunds may be available for documented medical emergencies
  • Academic Dismissal: No refund for students dismissed for policy violations
  • Partial Completion: No refunds after 50% course completion except in exceptional circumstances

5.3 Price Changes

Course prices may change without notice. However, enrolled students will not be affected by price increases during their current enrollment period.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 CodeForge Academy Content

  • All course materials, including videos, code, documentation, and assessments, remain our property
  • Students receive a limited, non-transferable license for personal educational use only
  • Course content may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes
  • Recording or sharing of live sessions is prohibited without explicit written permission
  • Course materials are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws

6.2 Student-Created Content

  • Students retain ownership of original code and projects they create during courses
  • Students grant us permission to use submitted work for educational and assessment purposes
  • Anonymous excerpts from student work may be used for course improvement and marketing
  • Students may showcase their course projects in personal portfolios
  • Group projects require agreement from all participants for external use

6.3 Third-Party Materials

Some course content may include third-party materials used under license or fair use provisions. Students must respect the intellectual property rights of all third parties and use such materials only as permitted by applicable licenses.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

7.1 Service Disclaimers

  • Educational services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We do not warrant specific learning outcomes or career advancement results
  • Course completion does not guarantee employment or specific salary levels
  • Technology skills and job market conditions change rapidly and unpredictably
  • Individual results depend on student effort, prior experience, and market factors

7.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Cyprus law, CodeForge Academy's liability is limited as follows:

  • Total liability shall not exceed the course fees paid by the affected student
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • We are not responsible for lost profits, data loss, or business interruption
  • Students assume full responsibility for their career and educational decisions
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, pandemics, etc.) may affect service delivery

7.3 Technology Disclaimers

We strive to provide current and relevant technology training, but the rapidly evolving nature of software development means that some content may become outdated. We regularly update our curriculum but cannot warrant that all materials reflect the latest industry developments.

8. Termination

8.1 Termination by Student

  • Students may withdraw from courses subject to our refund policy
  • Account deletion requests will be processed within 30 days
  • Students remain responsible for any outstanding payments
  • Course materials access will be revoked upon termination

8.2 Termination by CodeForge Academy

We may terminate student enrollment for:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service
  • Academic dishonesty or misconduct
  • Non-payment of course fees
  • Disruptive behavior affecting other students
  • Failure to meet minimum attendance requirements

8.3 Effects of Termination

Upon termination, all rights to access course materials cease immediately. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including intellectual property rights, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution provisions.

9. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

9.1 Informal Resolution

Before pursuing formal legal action, parties agree to attempt resolution through direct communication. Contact us at legal@domain.com to initiate informal dispute resolution.

9.2 Mediation

If informal resolution fails, parties agree to participate in mediation through a mutually agreed-upon mediator in Cyprus before pursuing litigation.

9.3 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus
  • Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Nicosia, Cyprus
  • Cyprus law applies regardless of conflict of law principles
  • European Union regulations may also apply to certain matters

10. General Provisions

10.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and any course-specific terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and CodeForge Academy regarding our educational services.

10.2 Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Invalid provisions will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make them enforceable.

10.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision. All rights and remedies remain available unless explicitly waived in writing.

10.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations to affiliates or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

10.5 Modifications

We may modify these terms at any time by posting updated terms on our website. Material changes will be communicated through:

  • Email notification to enrolled students
  • Prominent website notices
  • In-platform notifications

Continued use of our services after modification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
